Tuscany | 100% Sangiovese | Organic & Biodynamic | Natural Wine

From the sun-drenched Montalbano Hills between Cerreto Guidi and Vinci, this Chianti is more than a wine—it’s a testament to slow, conscious farming and old-world integrity. Founded in 1967 and part of the Consorzio del Chianti ever since, Poggiosecco transitioned to certified organic and biodynamic practices in the early 2000s, guided by winemakers Marco Filipello and Giuseppe Pluchino, whose respect for nature shapes every vine and vessel.

Grown in chalk and sandstone soils on a 12-hectare estate, this Sangiovese is fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats, then aged for a year in cement and another six months in bottle. No fining, no additives—just the rhythm of the moon, the land, and the grape. The result is a Chianti that honors its roots: earthy, energetic, and alive.

On the nose, it opens with sun-dried tomato, wild herbs, and red cherry, grounded by soft spice and a whisper of smoke. The palate is vibrant yet structured, with bright acidity, dusty tannins, and a lingering note of savory fruit and warm Tuscan earth.

Pair it with grilled vegetables, rosemary-roasted chicken, mushroom risotto, or aged Pecorino. This is a Chianti with soul—minimalist in method, maximalist in feeling.
