From the misty, rain-kissed valleys of Galicia’s Ribeiro region, where granite soils and Atlantic breezes shape the land, La Brisa Castes Tinto is a soulful red born of biodiversity, heritage grapes, and natural winemaking. The name “Castes Tintas” simply means “red grapes” in the Galician language—an homage to the mosaic of native varieties that make up this singular blend.

Sourced from biodynamically and organically farmed vineyards (aged 13–20 years) along the Avia River, the wine is spontaneously fermented in old chestnut casks, with 40% whole cluster and a gentle one-week maceration, then aged in stainless steel. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, with minimal sulfur, it’s a pure expression of Galicia’s red-fruited, forested soul.

In the glass, it reveals crunchy red fruit, wild herbs, and mineral-laced aromas, leading into a palate that is fresh, delicate, and savory, with notes of earth, bramble, and violet unfolding over vibrant acidity and a whisper of forest floor. Each grape brings its voice: Brancellao’s savory depth, Sousón’s bright tension, and Caíño’s floral lift, all supported by Mencía’s juicy backbone.
