Cerro la Barca Vegas Altas Orange 2020
Winemakers Juan Sojo and Ángel Luis González are best friends who compliment each other’s skills; Ángel is the agriculturalist and Juan is a chemist. Working biodynamically, the duo harvest under the September full moon, when the temperatures are cooler. This wine is made from two indigenous grapes and spends one month on skins in amphora before aging another year in the same vessel. This wine is funky with aromatic citrus pith on the nose and a punchy tannic structure. Pair with an oyster mushroom risotto to bring out earthy notes.
