Travis Tausend makes wine from grapes grown in the microclimate of Hope Forest. The soil is mostly made up of clay, sand and ironstone and the region benefits from nightly cold breezes off the surrounding ocean. There is a touch of Riesling in this blend that also experiences botrytis, the desirable rot that gives wine a delicious and rich textures and flavor. All grapes in this blend are co-fermented and blended in steel with some fruit being oak aged. This beautifully crisp and refreshing wine has notes of tart citrus, verbena, anise and a metallic after note. This is a fun zippy bottle but it’s refined and impressive. If you have loved ones celebrating a birthday or anniversary in quarantine this is a great gift. A match for scallops or summer squash and zucchini lasagna. NATURAL AUSTRALIA
