Thee & Thou "glhf" 2019
53% Graciano, 47% Garnacha
California engineer turned winemaker John Donaghue studied under Gideo Beinstock of Clos Saron before branching out to produce low-intervention, complex and lively cuvées of his own. Like Beinstock, Donaghue succeeds in using Spanish grapes to express California terroir. Here, Graciano and Garnacha are first fermented separately and then aged together in barrel for one year. The flavor remains rich with plum, blackberry and spice while maintaining acidity on the finish.
