Sv. Vicenco Island Red NV
Field Blend In the middle of the Adriatic island of Dubrovnik-Neretva you’ll find Lastovo: a national park/”small town.” The Greeks settled this island some 2,500 years ago and it’s assumed wine production commenced around that time. This fresh, salty, mineral bottle is made from the vines planted at Saint Vicenco’s; probably a blend of Plavac Mali, Plavac Plavina and Cabernet Sauvignon. Despite its deep bodied grapes, the seaside influence leaves bright, ripe berries on the palate. Try this with traditional viška pogaca—sardines with foccacia.
