Louis de Sacy Grand Cru Brut NV
80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay
The Sacy vineyards have been in the family since 1633 with Champagne production beginning in 1962. The fruit is organic and wine is made with as minimal intervention as possible. The estate is just 18 hectares of vines that average 30 years. The vineyards are located in the Grand Cru of Verzy which boasts the clay and marly limestone that is coveted for Champagne. This grower Champagne is very refreshing with flavors of green apple, baked pears and quince. We recommend this bottle with Swiss or Edam cheese as an aperitif and with roast chicken and fried potatoes as an addition to a main course.
