Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre Rosé 2019
Loire Valley, France
100% Pinot Noir
After WWII this 400 year old estate began producing large amounts of wine for consumers in Paris. Unfortunately, in the mid 80’s the patriarch and wine maker of the winery passed as did his two sons shortly thereafter. This left the youngest son, Michel, to handle the operation. Michel still works the vines himself today, spending an average of 7 days a week with his grapes. In this bottle is a confident mineral driven rosé with flavors of raspberry, nectarine and rose garden. Pair with a pasta salad of salmon, English peas and dill.
