Fossil & Fawn Rosé
Willamette/Umpqua Valleys, Oregon
100% Pinot Noir
We're so grateful for another vintage of Fossil & Fawn Rosé after an especially trying year. Willamette also suffered from the forest fires that raged south of the region, which choked the fruit with smoke. Luckily, Pinot Noir benefits from low yields so this year's rosé has concentrated fruit and minerality. Fruit is direct pressed into neutral oak for five months. They say terroir is more than just an expression of the land where vines grow, but also the emotion and memories of that land and it seems like the Earth has a lot to say about the events of 2020.
