Winemaker Evelyne de Pontbriand is known for her Chenin Blancs, her wit and being the first female president of Savennières. This AOC in the Loire Valley is known for its schist soil and crisp minerality which provide an interesting deviation from traditional Cabernets. This cuveé is semi-carbonic and young; spending only 7 days macerating and being bottled 3 months later. It has the structure and deep red fruit flavors of a Bordeaux with the brightness the Loire is loved for.
