AOC Bandol consistently produces some of the most technically perfect rosés. The region is focused on thick skinned and heat loving Mourvèdre, as the Mediterranean provides a never ceasing blanket of warm air. Because the rosés from this tiny area of Provence are predominantly made by artisan winemakers, they come in an array of beautiful colors, aromas and tastes. Nothing is manufactured. Every color of salmon, coral and mango are represented in this region. Our Bandol for the season is a pale ballet pink with structured flavors of gardenia, white peach and anise with a creamy texture and a definite bite of acid on the finish. Try it with a classic pairing of pan seared tuna. This is a fuller bodied rosé that can also stand up to meat like lamb or duck.
