Amaro Averna is a Sicilian liqueur in the Amaro (which means "strong" or "bitter") category. Made with a secret blend (obviously) of herbs, spices , roots and citrus rinds which are allowed to soak and marry in the base liquor. Averna is sweet, thick and has a gently herbal bitterness.
