For those of us who are very grateful for the burst in popularity of Sicilian wines; this is a special offering of Etna Rosso. Originally from the Canary Islands, Acosta moved to Sicily to intern and has since gained acclaim as a young winemaker. Fruit is sourced from various organic north-facing parcels on the slopes of Mount Etna. This wine is bold and confident with flavors of currant, over ripe raspberry, damp earth, and bitter dark chocolate on the palate. We recommend 30 minutes of decanting for the brambly tannins to relax into soft velvet that would go perfectly with eggplant lasagna.
