The French love to keep wine in the family—Domaine Pélaquié has been passed down through the generations since the 16th century. Today’s steward is Luc Pélaquié who’s known for his love of rich, round white wines. Grapes are harvested late to ensure intensity and freshness. Fruit from young vines are fermented separately for five weeks and then transferred together to age sur lie for four months. This refreshing, silky wine has subtle notes of lemon and pear with a fair amount of acid on the finish. This wine is great with sushi or a zucchini pasta.
