Winemaker Fabien Jouves comes from a peasant family that has lived in the Cahors region of France for generations. Fabien created Mas del Périé in 2006 with the intention of celebrating the terrior of Cahors through biodynamic agriculture. This skin contact wine of mostly Gros Manseng is macerated for three months in steel vats which results in fresh flavors of grapefruit, orange and peach with a funky, chalky dry finish. Pair with figs and goat cheese as an aperitif or seared duck at dinner.
