Anne Pichon Sauvage Orange 2020
Rhône Valley, France
70% Roussanne, 30% Sauvignon Blanc
Winemaker Anne Pichon and her sister Véronique manage the estate once called Murmurium in Mont Ventoux. Fruit has been organically farmed since before Anne’s arrival with her late husband Marc in the 1990’s. Fermentation with 5 days of skin contact in stainless steel leads to a dry and bright style of orange wine with flavors of dried apricot, mango and honeycomb, chalky tannins and refreshing acid on the finish. This would be a good dinner wine paired with creamy pastas and rich pork dishes.
