Chénas is the tiniest of the Grand Beaujolais Crus with very few producers. This elusiveness, combined with the soft and ethereal wines that come from this area, makes this bottle one of our favorites. Thevenet is a student of Descombes and their light handed techniques can be observed in this cuvée. Grapes are hand harvested and undergo carbon maceration in concrete vats. Very light and dry with flavors of pomegranate, cranberry and high toned minerality. Pair with duck, tuna, and creamy pastas.
