Benito Santos started working his grandfather’s vines in the 1930’s to make wine to serve in his bar—sounds like a natural wine lover’s dream. After Benito’s death, a San Franciscan winemaker was gifted the vines and continues to make the cuvées in accordance with the region’s traditional styles. This is a light, crisp wine with flavors of citrus, saline and minerals. Albariño is a perfect and versatile food wine for casual pairings with seafood, poultry, pasta, squash and cheese.
